INTRO: A freight train loaded with fruits from Laos and Thailand departed the Lao capital Vientiane on Friday December the 1st and entered China via Mohan Port before heading to southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality. The General Manager of Speed International Transport Lao Ltd.co Mme Bouasone VONGTHAVONE said that, as an iconic project of the Belt and Road Initiative, the 1,000-plus-kilometer railway has turned Laos from a landlocked country to a land-linked hub. Companies in Laos are also benefiting from it.
